Based on positive experiences with temporary artistic interventions in public space Graphic Matters initiated 3sec.gallery in 2014. It's the world’s only drive-by gallery, situated in the entrance of the Chassé Parking in Breda (NL).

Graphic Matters director Dennis Elbers was a frequent user of this underground parking designed by OMA architects. Each time he entered the long grey corridor seemed out of balance with the spacious and bright parking. As he is driven to present design at places where people least expect it, this corridor offered a great opportunity.

Since 2014 the work from upcoming and renowned international poster designers is presented in four exhibitions per year. Each presentation has about 50 posters in A0 size. Occasionally more frames are added. Each year an extensive open call for  design students is organized, presenting a selection of the 50 best posters from over 300 entries by Dutch and Flemish students. 

3sec.gallery is sponsored by the Chassé Parking and visited by over 500,000 people each year. Recently a spin-off developed; pop-up poster exhibits in public space presenting the 3sec.gallery collection in parks around Breda. Also each year a poster sale in organized to fund future projects.
